Delicata Squash-This is the Honey Boat variety and it is very colorful. 4. Garlic 5. 1. 1 ¼ lbs. of Soldier Beans-About 3 cups. This heirloom bean can be used in baked bean recipes or as a soup bean. They say the brown markings around the eye resemble an 18th century European Soldier.
2. Leeks 3. 1 lb. of Chanterelle Mushrooms-Wes foraged these yesterday, near our farm. We like to sauté them with garlic and butter. Sometimes we add kale. A creamy mushroom and leek soup would be nice on a cold night! 4. Lorz Italian Softneck Garlic 5. 1 Bunch of Kale 6. .45 lbs. of Salad Mix 7. 1 Head of Pac Choi-Stir Fry, add to a soup, or eat it raw in a salad! Meat customers are receiving 2 Red Ranger Chickens- These are traditional meat birds that have natural breast to body proportions. Sorrel-Chop into salads and dressings for a lemony flavor or use it to season roast chicken or fish. 7. Salad Mix 8. Garlic 9. 1 ½ lbs. of Sangre Potatoes-* Unfortunately, we were unable to harvest the potatoes before the rains came. These potatoes did get wet in the ground and will not store for very long. Please eat your potatoes within a week. Maybe garlic mashed potatoes are in order! |
